As we enter the festive season, it’s important for both landlords and tenants to understand how property management works over the break — especially when it comes to support, maintenance, rent cycles, and emergency procedures.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. We’re Still Here When It Matters
While our office may operate with reduced hours over Christmas, our team remains available for all essential communication — and we continue monitoring key property management functions.
For landlords:
✔ End of month payments continue as normal
✔ Statements will be issued on schedule
✔ Rent arrears are still monitored
For tenants:
✔ Emergency contacts remain active
✔ Online forms are available 24/7
✔ Routine repairs resume once trades reopen
2. Emergency Repairs Over Christmas
If an urgent issue arises — such as loss of power, burst pipes, flooding, no hot water, or severe safety hazards — tenants can contact our emergency trade partners.
(See the dedicated email below — you can link this part to your website’s emergency info page.)
3. Routine Maintenance May Be Delayed
Most trades shut down between Christmas and early January.
We’ll log all non‑urgent repairs and action them as soon as trades resume.
4. Inspections + Leasing in January
January is one of the biggest months for tenancy applications and leasing.
If a lease ends soon, now is the perfect time to review:
- Rent increases
- Renewals
- Marketing upgrades
- Lease terms
5. Communication Remains a Priority
Whether you’re travelling, spending time with family, or relaxing at home, we’re only ever an email away for anything urgent.
From all of us at Lowrey, we wish you a safe, happy and relaxing Christmas break.
